impatience is not a virtue

ok so this was supposed to be a blog about the fact that I'm 12 days late.

it is now going to be interupted by a rant about David trying to sensor my blog. he said i shouldn't blog about it because if i am pregnant we wouldn't be telling anyone yet and the fact is we don't even know was going on, and that's the point!!!! i don't know what going on and that's freaking me out. I reserve all right to talk about anything i want in my blog. so there.

ok I'm over it now.back to regularly scheduled programing

so yeah. never been this late, ever.

i took a home pregnancy test 2 days ago and it said "not pregnant".meh. and now I'm killing time to take it again. time goes by really slowing when you want a day to get here. its like waiting for Christmas, actually it is because a baby would be the best gift ever.

I would go and get a blood test but I'm going to visit my mom in 2 days and wont be back till next Monday, with work and church tomorrow.which means ill have to wait till then. hopefully i will get an answer one way or another before then.

ok off to kill more time and get ready for my trip.

killing time

David's parents just left a little while ago to go to there anniversay dinner and then they're off tomorrow on their own adventures.

it's been a good weekend. David's graduation on Thursday, he actually spoke in front of people for a little salutatorian speech. I am so proud of him it makes me tear up a little.

yesterday was wandering around ikea to look at sleeper sofas for his parents spare room. that was fun until i was so overwhelmed i just wanted OUT! and ikea held me hostage cuz they make you go through every department and see EVERYTHING to get to the exit. Then we went shopping for grown up clothing (ie business casual) for David now that he's going out into the work force no jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirts for him, well at least not all the time.

and that was my weekend, church tomorrow and a much needed afternoon with my peeps.

and a potential secret that ill keep under my cap for now, until i actually know something, but the thought of it makes me smile, grin actually from ear to ear.

happy picture day

my posts have been too serious and a bit of downer so in the name of trying to lighten things up some pictures from a great walk along the coast on the lands end trail in San Francisco and the recent couples retreat we went to in Tiburon

1)we actually asked someone to take our picture, hooray!
2) the trail was beautiful, trees, ocean, great weather where can you go wrong?
3)the start and the end sign
4)the view of the bay from Tiburon
5) the yummy goody bag we got when we arrived at the retreat

Processing

I'm in discipleship at church. we've been on hiatus for a while, first because of the holidays and then it was because it needs to change (so many people it cant be sustained with the format tit is now, so good change) and our pastor wanted to pray about it during the fast.

we had a general meeting tonight of this is where it is going...no specifics but an idea of the big picture.

big picture is people who were being discipled previously are now going to be leading small groups once a week and once a week there will be a big group lead by the people who were leading groups previously.

over all I'm on board, i think its a great way to have plenty of room for growth. personally I'm not sure if I'm ready to lead a group myself. Ive only been in discipleship myself since September and since we stopped in December then really Ive only had 3 months of it.

the question really is do I really feel I'm not ready or am i just not ready to step out of my comfort zone? right now i think its a little of both.

we do have the option if we don't feel we're ready to be leading that we can be part of the first group in the new format. me however being me don't want to do that, well i cant say i don't want to, i just feel like if i do that I'm admitting defeat or am being held back or something, its kinda hard to explain but i feel like i wouldn't be stepping up when asked to or something, or i would be saying no which i hate doing. i don't know its hard to explain. much prayer and mulling will need to be done.

then there's the whole lack of consistency with my job. regardless if I'm leading or in discipleship it takes and requires a high degree of commitment and with my schedule as erratic as it is i cant say for certain that if i needed to be in discipleship every Tuesday or whatever from 5-6 that ill be able to show up, and i hate that.
